From the Catskill 3500 Club: The tallest mountain in the Catskills and the westernmost peak of the three-peak Burroughs range, Slide is traversed by the Wittenberg-Cornell-Slide Trail. Fantastic views are available from a number of ledges or openings around the peak, but the summit itself is viewless. The Summit Steward program began on this peak in 2015.
At 4,190 feet in elevation, Slide Mountain is the highest of the Catskill High Peaks, and, to date, is my favorite summit, although views are very limited.
